Another Fun Valentine Idea!
This is a fast fun tutorial from our friends at Missouri Star on how to make a heart quilt with charms. I have in stock Valentine charms that would work great on this project from Moda! That is what I used on the Heart Twister on my last post.
We have the fabric that is from the same line as the charm pack to make borders, backings, and bindings.
Now it is time for me to warm up the longarm and start quilting. I loaded a quilt yesterday and made a pattern to quilt on it. I hope to finish quilting it today so I can get to a western quilt later in the week.

Happy Valentines Day!
This lap size would make a great gift for someone special! It would also make a great baby gift. This is made with the 5 inch Twister ruler. It is fast and fun! This pattern could be made using ten inch blocks to make a bed size for a girls room. I think it would look great in purple too! Come by and I will show you how to make this original design. I can show you how to create your own original designs using the twister!

Binding Tutorial's from some of the Best!

Stephanie and Linda of Stitched Together Studios show you how they bind a quilt.

Jenny Doan shows how to bind with a sewing machine. This is the way I have found to be the easiest for me to put binding on a quilt. I like to go fast and this is the fastest way I have found. For small quilts and wall hangings I generally hand sew the binding if I have enough time so no stitches will show.

Let me know what your favorite way to apply binding! Do you know of a better way? I am always looking for new things to learn! If you know of a better video let me know.
Happy Binding!!!

Buck-A-Block starts Feb. 1st
Buck-A-Block is a fun program where you can get a block kit for $1. It's easy to participate. On your first visit you sign up at our store and purchase a pack of Thangles for $6. The Thangles are used to make all the blocks. You will choose your fabric colors and also receive your first block kit for $1.  Each block kit consists of two strips of precut fabric and the directions for making that month's block. You can go right home and sew your blocks. You get two blocks in reverse colors each month. You return each month and get your new block kit for $1. You can come in anytime during the month, but if you skip a month the price will be $3 for the month you missed. When you are done you will have twenty-four blocks. We also have finishing kits available so you can complete your twin size quilt. Make sure to purchase this kit early while the fabric is still available. In addition, you can get started on the finishing steps right away.

We have two ways you can do this program. You can do it monthly as describe as above or weekly. If you choose to do it weekly we will start on Wednesday Feb. 1st and continue for twelve weeks. Stop by Love Bug Fabric and Quilting for more information or to ask any questions.

You can choose what color you want to make your quilt in from a wide selection in our store!
Marianne chose fabrics in brown, turquoise, and orange to go in her kitchen. Mary sewed her tablerunner in lovely fall colors.

We had a fun class today! Mary Adams taught us to make awesome tablerunners. This french braid inspired tablerunner used the "quilt as you go" method. When you "quilt as you go" you are done with the entire thing, except the binding. Only Melane was done with the binding today. Yeah Mel! The rest of us have to sew on our binding so we will all do that tomorrow evening. Everyone chose different colors but I don't know which one I like best (mine included).
Melane McCuller made this tablerunner today! She finished her binding too! Then she did a little extra quilting on the green inner border.

This is a close up of the quilting. I think I might try doing something like this on my tablerunner.
Helen chose some great fabric to match her kitchen!
